A rabid bat chased one of our volunteers in Stagecoach Nevada! 

Due to the increased number of rabid bats in Washoe County 4, Lyon County 1, Carson City 2, Douglas County 1, KA Animal Rescue has received a donation of 600 doses of rabies vaccines, from Boehringer and Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc.  The rabies vaccines are free with a $10.00 administrative fee (tags and paperwork for the veterinarian and technicians).  Each veterinarian will receive 300 doses.  We are trying to reach out to as many pet owners as possible.  Especially animals that are at higher risk, especially with the economic downturn.
