Clover story has a happy ending
Clover and Gizmo are adopted! They couldn't have gone to a better adoptive family.
Clover was thrown from a moving car in Douglas County and was diagnosed with cerebromalacia (severe brain damage). He also suffered a broken leg. He is bilind in his left eye and deaf in his left ear. He only turns his head to the right.
Clover has limited vision in his right eye.
Gizmo was found dehydrated and almost dead by someone mowing the lawn. A few mors steps and he would have been at rainbow bridge.
Lori Cox, the foster of the two kittens, put them together and they bonded. Gizmo taught Clover how to be a kitten and Clover loved Gizmo.
Thank you to the new adoptive family who took in these very special kittens. They may have moved out of state, but catch the updates on Facebook. Click here or just type in Clover and Gizmo. There are lots of photos on their page.
Thank all of you for the community support. You gave these guys a fighting chance. We will keep you updated on the kittens and thier new loving family.
Kitten thrown out of moving car
We have taken in a kitten that was thrown out of a moving vehicle traveling northbound on US 395 near Johnson Lane. "Clover", who suffered a broken leg, also suffered head trauma and is now blind. Clover is only 7 weeks old. He is a very lovable kitten. We are looking for donations to cover ongoing medical costs and also looking for a suitable person to adopt Clover. He will need to be a strictly indoor kitten and a very stable environment. If we can't find a suitable person here, we will be trying to transport him to the Blind Cat Rescue in North Carolina.
8 year old child helps Clover
Dylan, an 8 year old child, conducted a lemonade stand as a fund raiser for Clover. On Saturday, July 15, he
met the kitten who had been thrown from a moving car. Clover responded to his little supporter and seemed to enjoy the visit.
